Corner Clubhouse is a community of individuals who recognize the impact of mental illness on its membership. We strive to create an environment conducive to growth through employment, education and meaningful relationships within the standards provided by the State of Massachusetts and the International Center for Clubhouse Development.
Corner Club is part of a network of services funded through and offered by Department of Mental Health ( DMH), The Massachussetts Rehabilitation Commission ( MRC), and through our auspice agency Fellowship Health Resources. It is a place of friendship, hope and community that offers assistance and support for the men and women in mental health recovery. Some of our coverage area consists of, but is not limited to: Attleboro, South Attleboro, North Attleboro, Taunton, Raynham, Mansfield, Norton, and Rehoboth. Over the years the club has helped hundreds of individuals and today serves an active membership of about 130.
Located in the city of Attleboro, Corner Club is open Monday thru Saturday, Holidays and all. The clubhouse is run by members and staff together in all its functions. From meal preparations to installing software and running a computer network, we participate as peers and partners. Corner Club is open to anyone with a diagnosis of mental illness.
The core of the clubhouse is its vocational training. Corner Club is comprised of three working units. They are: the Culinary & Cafe Unit, Administration Unit, and Employment & Education. Members and staff work together in these units to maintain the clubhouse community. Work is a key factor in rehabilitation towards a successful and productive life.
